Three Attorneys Join Sands Anderson Law Firm

RICHMOND, VIRGINIA--- Alexander D. Rowedder, Christopher M. Mackenzie, and Christopher K. Jones recently joined Sands Anderson PC's Richmond office. The announcement was made by firm president, L. Lee Byrd.

"We are delighted that these dynamic and skilled attorneys have chosen to make Sands Anderson their professional home," said Byrd.  "We will continue to look for such top-shelf talent as we implement the firm's strategy of expanding our business and litigation client bases."

Rowedder is a member of the Coverage & Casualty Litigation Group and will focus on aviation litigation. Rowedder is a certificated private pilot with experience in aircraft ranging from a Piper J-3 Cub to Beechcraft Baron and Bonanza models. He is a member of the Angel Flight Program where he serves as a co-pilot providing air-transportation for children with special medical needs.

Rowedder earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the College of Charleston and graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He is licensed to practice in South Carolina and can be reached at arowedder@sandsanderson.com.

Mackenzie is a member of the Business Group and the Business & Professional Litigation Group. Mackenzie represents companies of various sizes, including commercial real estate developers and retail businesses. He represents clients in Virginia's state and federal courts and also handles a variety of transactional and intellectual property matters.

Mackenzie earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University. He graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law, cum laude, where he served as Articles Editor for University of Richmond Law Review, as well as National Chairperson for the Robert R. Merhige, Jr. National Environmental Negotiation Competition. Mackenzie also served on the Executive Board Member for the Client Counseling and Negotiation Board. Jones is a member of the Coverage & Casualty Group and focuses his litigation practice on representing corporations, individuals, insurance companies, and self-insured entities on issues related to transportation and trucking, personal injury, wrongful death, suretyship, contracts, and personal injury.

Jones earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College and his law degree from Washington & Lee School of Law.  He served an externship with Justice G. Steven Agee in the Supreme Court of Virginia and served as Senior Case Editor of the Environmental Law Digest. Jones can be reached at cjones@sandsanderson.com.
