Sands Anderson Welcomes Scott Pontius as Chief Operating Officer

RICHMOND, Va. (October 14, 2024) – Sands Anderson PC is pleased to announce Scott Pontius has joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer. Pontius has significant experience driving profitable growth in the professional services industry and will oversee all aspects of firm administration including finance, human resources, marketing, information technology and office services.

Pontius has nearly 20 years of experience leading the financial operations of multi-faceted organizations. He comes to Sands Anderson from The Select Group, where he served as the Chief Financial Officer, overseeing accounting, finance, procurement, human resources, and information technology. Before his time at The Select Group, Pontius held key financial roles at Apex Systems, Performance Food Group, and Capital One, where he developed a strong track record in financial management, budgeting, and operational efficiency. His experience across the professional service industry positions him to drive Sands Anderson’s financial strategy and contribute to its continued growth.
