Sands Anderson’s Government Group Continues Growth with Addition of Kelley M. Kemp

Press Releases

Richmond, Va. (June 26, 2024) – Sands Anderson PC is pleased to announce that Kelley M. Kemp has joined the firm in Richmond. Kemp, who represents counties, cities, and towns across Virginia, is the newest member of the firm’s growing Government practice group.

Kemp has years of experience helping local governments of all sizes, including representing the counties of Powhatan, Orange, and Appomattox. Her experience includes representing localities in zoning matters, BZA appeals, contract disputes, employee grievances, and zoning violations. She particularly enjoys working with local government entities that are experiencing new growth and pursuing economic development initiatives.

“We are delighted to welcome Kelley as the newest member of our Government group,” said Firm President Margaret Hardy. “With her deep experience advising local governments we add additional bench strength to our team and increase our ability to support localities across Virginia.”

Kemp is known for providing common sense legal counsel that is clear, concise, and easy to explain to citizens. She joins Sands Anderson’s Government Group, which represents more localities in Virginia and performs a wider variety of legal services for local government clients than any other law firm in the state.

Kemp earned her juris doctor from the American University Washington College of Law in 2005 and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia in 1998. She can be reached at kkemp@sandsanderson.com.
