Four Attorneys Promoted to Counsel

W. Hall Carter, Jr., Madelaine A. Kramer, Christopher M. Mackenzie and David C. Tait have been promoted to Counsel.

RICHMOND, VIRGINIA (January 23, 2018)— Sands Anderson PC is pleased to announce attorneys W. Hall Carter, Jr., Madelaine A. Kramer, Christopher M. Mackenzie, and David C. Tait have been promoted from Associate to Counsel, according to firm president Margaret F. Hardy.

Carter focuses his practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration, tax related matters, elder law issues, and corporate law. Carter is a member of the firm's Business Group. He earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Virginia and his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Carter practices in Richmond and Fredericksburg and can be reached at hcarter@sandsanderson.com.

Kramer focuses her practice on representing health care providers and legal professionals and their practices in professional liability matters. She also represents clients in product liability, premises liability, toxic tort, employment, and complex commercial litigation. Kramer earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University, and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami. She graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law, cum laude, where she served as manuscripts editor of the University of Richmond Law Review. Kramer practices in McLean and can be reached at mkramer@sandsanderson.com.

Mackenzie represents companies of various sizes as well as local governments and community associations and handles a variety of transactional and intellectual property matters. Mackenzie earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University. He graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law, cum laude, where he served as Articles Editor for the University of Richmond Law Review, as well as National Chairperson for the Robert R. Merhige, Jr. National Environmental Negotiation Competition. Mackenzie also served on the Executive Board for the Client Counseling and Negotiation Board. Tait defends local governments in tax assessment matters and represents clients in commercial transportation and products liability claims, Tait graduated from Randolph Macon College with a B.A. in Political Science and History. He earned his law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law, magna cum laude, and served as Treasurer of the Trial Advocacy Board as well as the Lead Articles Editor for Richmond Journal of Law and the Public Interest. Tait practices in Richmond and can be reached at dtait@sandsanderson.com.
