Education Attorney Jamie Heisler Ibrahim Joins Sands Anderson
RICHMOND, Va. (October 18, 2023) – Sands Anderson PC today announced Jamie Heisler Ibrahim has joined the Firm as Counsel in its Williamsburg and Richmond offices. Ibrahim represents primary and secondary schools throughout Virginia in special education, Title IX and other education matters.
Ibrahim will be a member of Sands Anderson’s School & Education Law Team and Government Group. The School & Education Law team is the largest in the state focused on counseling Virginia public school divisions on both general education and special education matters. Jessica J. Berdichevsky, LaToya H. Croxton, and Andrew P. Selman also joined the team earlier this year.
Ibrahim has decades of combined experience as an education attorney, university administrator, university academic advisor, and corporate defense litigator. Having worked on behalf of both educational institutions and students and/or their parents, she approaches education law conflicts with an understanding of both sides. She is also an experienced litigator with experience in state and federal courts and in administrative proceedings.

In addition to her work with public school divisions, Ibrahim counsels private colleges and universities on their disciplinary and Title IX matters.
Ibrahim received her Masters in Education Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
