As a core member of the firm’s Business group, David helps clients with federal and state tax planning needs. His corporate tax experience and pass-through talents help corporations, LLCs, real estate investment trusts ("REITs"), and partnerships solve complex tax and corporate law issues. 

Before joining Sands Anderson in 2017, David worked for a Big Four accounting firm on REIT, corporation, and partnership tax issues. As such, David is a detailed-oriented team player who can easily work with his client's current accounting team to help realize planning strategies.

His legal experience includes structuring stock and asset transactions, as well as coordinating joint venture investments. Further, David has supported on the securitization and SEC tax filings for a mortgage REIT IPO. Additionally, David has experience with multi-state sales and use taxes and income tax planning. David has handled disputes of federal and state taxes with the IRS and various state tax departments.
