Lisa Taylor Hudson Heads Local Horses In Service Charity Helping Disabled

RICHMOND, VIRGINIA--Lisa Taylor Hudson, a lawyer in the Business and Professional Litigation practice at Sands Anderson Marks & Miller, P.C., has been elected President of Horses in Service, Sandston/Henrico, VA, a 501c3 organization that focuses on therapeutic horseback riding for children and adults with disabilities, practice chair Jeffrey H. Geiger announced today.

"Lisa has a strong commitment to public service as evidenced by her long-standing activities with Horses in Service, the Cancer Society, and other charitable groups, and we're proud to support their good work through her leadership," said Geiger.

Hudson is also a member of the Business, Finance and Real Estate practice at the law firm, where she serves on the Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights and the Financial Recovery Law teams. In addition, she is a founding Board member of the Virginia Network of the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation ("IWIRC"), and chairs the City of Richmond Bar Association's CLE committee. As Philanthropy Co-Chair on the IWIRC Board, she coordinates an educational seminar series for the Hilliard House, providing landlord-tenant, budgeting, financial management, job skills, credit advice, and similar assistance to the residential facility's clients and residents.

Twice named to the Rising Stars list published in the Virginia Super Lawyers annual magazine, Ms. Hudson is on the firm's team currently representing creditors in the bankruptcies of Circuit City and LandAmerica Financial Group, among other legal work. She earned her J.D. at the University of Richmond's T. C. Williams School of Law and her B.B.A. (Finance) at the College of William and Mary.
